Clinical Nurse Specialist (for Transcultural Services)
(Full time Monday-Friday at Kenepuru)
As the CNS working within Transcultural Mental Health Services – i.e. Maori Mental Health and Pasifika Mental Health Services you will:
- Possess a strong understanding and knowledge of the cultural needs of mental health clients of both services.
- Use your nursing expertise to guide staff in utilising cultural models as a fundamental part of their practice.
- Lead in the development of cultural strategies to assist in professional practice having regard of the place of kaumatua and kuia as pou (Supports) in doing so and the cultural matua for Pasifika services.
The ideal person will have:
- New ZealandNursing Registration
- Current Annual Practicing Certificate
- Post Graduate Certificate/Diploma in Specialty Nursing Practice (Mental Health)
- Completed or working towards completion of Masters Degree in Nursing or Health Studies
- Minimum practice at working at Proficient/Expert level on the PDRP or prior experience working as a CNS or equivalent senior nursing role
